I am a passionately curious professional with experience in various roles in Human Resources. I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Human Resources Management and Organizational Effectiveness at New York University. As part of my Master’s program, I had the opportunity to participate in an intensive international program in the UAE. This was a fascinating opportunity that allowed me to learn a lot, make new friends and colleagues along the way, create professional connections in different industries, and most importantly experience a whole new world. Topics ranged from culture, diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and agility to the future of work and the role of the Human Resources function.

During two intensive but fun weeks, we had a combination of cultural, historic, and business related learning experiences. We had the opportunity to visit local and multinational companies, consulting firms, innovation and technology parks, start-ups, and museums. We also attended a forum and panel and took part in very inspiring conversations with senior leaders of different industries. I also had the opportunity to arrange a visit to the company that I work for, Colgate Palmolive at their Dubai offices.

It was incredibly interesting to see how complexity, volatility, agility, and a fast pace of growth make this country a very challenging, fascinating, and exciting region to work in and learn from. This was not just an academic journey for me. This trip helped to affirm my passion for massive transformations that have a positive global impact. It was also an experience that helped me to envision the leader that I want to become; a transformative leader that can bring the best out of people and help others to reach their greatest potential.

In this portfolio you will find my thoughts and reflections from this experience as well as my field research paper on the future of work and the role of HR.
