We received very valuable insights and learning from the senior HR management team at Emirates airlines. This was a very inspiring and refreshing session where we learned the Emirates HR philosophy and leadership. We talked about the importance of talent and how people create and sustain a brand and how the UAE culture has shaped the company's success and protectiveness to innovation and agility.
During our talk, I was able to identify that the leadership style, values and philosophy that the company models is basically on Sheikh Mohammed Bin and his visionary belief. Sheikh Mohammed believed that there is nothing impossible in Dubai and Emirates believes that there is nothing impossible to them.
The speed and adaptability of this business is very impressive to me. It is a fast paced business that requires different solutions every day and leadership team has been flexible empowering employees and created a flatter organization less process oriented than other companies. For this reason the organization has evolved over the years and today is one of the most agile companies. The organization has eliminated processes, steps for approval, has implemented an open culture, and provides real time feedback and state of the art learning technologies.
